Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the accounts receivable function. Working as a team member in the accounts department, the candidate will be responsible for making decisions with the guidance of the Accounts Manager. The ideal candidate will be hard working and enthusiastic with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Review Cash, AR and AP reconciliations
Review, enter and approve new customer/supplier accounts
Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
Assist with the ideas and implementation of new processes
Support credit control function
Review and approve cases in SalesForce
Assist with relevant internal and external audits
Work with other department to solve customer queries
Provide cover within department when other staff are on leave
Post daily cash receipts and payments
Reconcile cash receipts to bank statements
Produce invoices, statements and credit notes
Upload invoices onto customer e-comm platforms and maintaining updates.
Operational responsibilities:
Adhere to company operational procedures, ensuring you:
Follow the Company’s KPI’s and ensure ratios are maintained
Apply the Company’s commercial and operational policy in relevant territories
Work within guidelines of Company Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
Work with internal departments to maximise communication and improve efficiencies.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Fluent written and spoken English and German is essential.
Relevant vocational training (e.g., Kaufmann/Kauffrau für Büromanagement, Industriekaufmann/-frau) or university degree in business, finance, or accounting
Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role
Possess excellent IT skills, including experience of working with Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Sage Line 500 and Microsoft D365 would be beneficial.
