How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Job Description Summary: The primary function of this job is to assist the Operations Manager with daily duties and support district operations and objectives. Supervise, lead and direct district associates including the Field Supervisor. In the absence of the District Manager, oversee all district operation and profitability, including budgeting, operating expenses, safety, customer service, inventory, equipment, building and vehicles, community relations, resolution of personnel issues.
Provide operational support to all District Managers, ensuring they review and approve reports, including monthly invoices, to maintain operational efficiency.
Facilitate effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration between Operations Management, associates, the Sales team, and the Finance team.
Assist with planning and direct work, manage performance, and resolve associate issues to foster a productive work environment.
Demonstrate an understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures Manual, Safety Management System, SAP processes, and Business Warehouse (BW) tools.
Manage personnel by hiring, training, and motivating staff to ensure they meet performance targets.
Maintain quality relationships with the sales team and involve Operations Manager when possible, keeping them informed of issues as they arise.
Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager regarding progress, obstacles, issues, and suggestions for process improvements.
Protect the operation of the company by keeping financial, production, sales, and marketing information confidential.
Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing memos/reports, and making recommendations to management.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of transportation related experience
1+ years of supervisory / management experience with proven ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
Preferred Qualifications
College degree in a related field preferred
Previous hazmat transportation experience preferred
Previous experience with nitrogen pumping/purging/project management preferred
