The Internship
Held over an 11-week period during the summer of 2025 for MBA students graduating between December 2025 and August 2026. The paid internship will prepare associates for a career with Walmart. About Walmart
As part of Walmart's eCommerce org, you will be helping build the future of omnichannel retail. The mission of the Search and Discovery team within eCommerce is to improve the ranking of Walmart’s search engine, helping customers find and buy the right products from our expanding selection of inventory across stores, warehouses and marketplace sellers. You’ll drive optimization of Walmart’s digital properties to increase traffic and engagement.
In this internship, you will be at the intersection of technology, data, and retail. You’ll work cross-functionally across multiple departments throughout Walmart eCommerce (e.g., site merchandising, marketing, marketplace, product, design, engineering) to drive forward search and discovery related initiatives.
We are looking for an MBA intern to join the Walmart Search and Discovery Business Strategy Team focusing on GenAI use in search engine personalization. The Business Strategy team prioritizes customer outcomes and ensures that initiatives and resourcing are aligned behind larger goals, all in service of an excellent customer experience.
The MBA intern will have the opportunity to spend time within a mission-critical, principled, growing SEO team this summer. An internship with Walmart Search and Discovery means a chance to lean into data and technology while honing communication skills within the Fortune #1 retailer. We are looking for students who are innovators, love to identify and solve problems, are intellectually curious, high energy, and have a strong work ethic.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Must be actively enrolled in an MBA degree program
· Expected graduation date between December 2025-August 2026
· 1-3 years of full-time relevant experience
· Passion for solving problems leveraging data and technology
· Interest in eCommerce product management
· Collaboration-first working style
· Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Adept at extracting meaningful insights from large datasets
· Strong time-management skills

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00-$51.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
