Key Responsibilities
• Sales and Business Development: Drive and achieve budgeted income targets for Brand Space, including activations, partnerships and sponsorships. Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities as well as repeat business.
• Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each activation and partnership is executed flawlessly from conception through to completion.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain excellent rapport with both external clients and internal teams. This includes working closely with centre Marketing Teams, the National Retail Media team, and the National CML teams.
• Presentation and Proposal Development: Decipher briefs to create compelling presentations supported by data and insights. Showcase Vicinity’s assets effectively and persuasively in client proposals and presentations.
• Activation Execution: Oversee the execution of in-centre activations, ensuring all activities meet legal and corporate compliance requirements. Develop key relationships to facilitate smooth and successful activations.
• Administration Duties: Handle administration tasks related to bookings, client invoicing, and contract documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Sales Excellence: Proven track record of success in a sales-driven environment with strong abilities in negotiation, rapport building, and client management.
• Project Management: Demonstrated capability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously with a keen attention to detail.
• Problem-Solving and Presentation: Adept at deciphering briefs, creating presentations, and utilizing data and insights to effectively showcase assets. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to work across various teams and functions, ensuring cohesive execution of brand activations and partnerships.
• Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a focus on building and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
• Desirable Knowledge: Familiarity with MS Office Suite, experience in retailer activations in the mall space, and knowledge of Salesforce is preferred.
• Requirement: to complete Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (paid for by Vicinity Centres)
What will you bring?
The ideal candidate will be a driven sales professional and have an excellent track record of sales success and achieving against budgets. You will have high attention to detail in everything you do. You will have experience in Partnership and Sponsorship Sales and are comfortable working cross functionally.
Preferably you will have had some experience in either Brand activations and/or shopping centre marketing, event management, sponsorships, casual mall leasing. You will be an excellent communicator and negotiator and understand the value of strong stakeholder management. You will be known for your ability to develop and manage relationships with clients and your organisational skills along with your exceptional customer focus.
