Job Summary:

The manager Enterprise Hosting ensures the streamlined operation of the IT department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. The individual in this role is well versed in systems, virtualization, networking, cloud computing, big data, IT security, and storage and the ability to utilize it to arrive at a business solution. The IT manager will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
Specific areas of team responsibilities are Servers (Window/Linux/Unix), Virtualization, Storage, Cloud Platforms, and the architecture of these systems.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Responsible for managing the team responsible for Servers, Virtualization, Storage, and Cloud environments.
- Responsible for hiring staff.
- Complete personnel assigned yearly reviews.
- Responsible for staff training and development
- Creates an operational work plan that encompasses areas of direct responsibility (i.e. imaging, application package development, testing, architecture, etc.)
- Works with team members to develop goals and objectives.
- Works with IS security in system monitoring and reporting. Reports incidents to appropriate IS personnel and management.
- Designs strategic directions in areas of responsibility.
- Develops project-specific work plans, task sequencing, to the extent which tasks can be performed concurrently.
- Provides weekly, or when requested, status report to identify system trends/problems. Creates a plan of action in case of a problem and works with areas of IS if needed to implement/rectify
- Assists with the development and maintenance of service level agreements and follows up with customers.
- Documents and Evaluates new hardware models and makes recommendations.
- Maintains system/applications/software and hardware inventory in the centralized tracking/inventory system.
- Manages hardware and software inventory for areas of responsibility.
- Evaluates new operating systems, patches and enhancement packs for the network/infrastructure environment.
- Maintains all inclusive system documentation, (i.e. passwords, system rights, configurations, alerts, trending, incidents, log files etc.)
- Manages hardware and software inventory for areas of responsibility. Clearly documents work orders and system/application/hardware/incident support issues and resolutions in the call tracking system for of all assigned support calls.
- Completes problem resolution, work orders including critical problems in a timely manner (following SLAs), updating client of status and maintaining work schedules and appointments with the user.
- Properly documents all work orders and problem calls in tracking system, while in work and once completed. A constant chain of documentation for current user status.
- Escalates problems to the proper person/groups/management

- Prepares and revises policies and procedures, as needed, for areas of responsibility.
- Insures that the team complies with all policies and procedures.
- Maintain system standards following HIPAA Security Guidelines and implement policy/procedures and or technologies to adhere to mandated requirements. Enhance professional growth and development, for self and others through education programs, workshops or other educational opportunities that may be presented. Keep abreast of current events.
- Assists in the creation of monthly news article events/updates to keep current information available to the WellStar user community with helpful hints.
- Demonstrates the ability to learn and improve troubleshooting skills by actively participating in education programs.
- Creates training documentation that is user friendly, detailed and precise.
- Responsible for updating and training the technical information systems staff. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, Computer engineering Required or
related field Required

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Required Minimum Experience:

    Minimum 3 years management experience in Information Technology Required and
    Minimum 7 years in information technology system engineering/administration in a mixed Windows/Linux environment Required and
    Prior experience in managing a large complex information technology infrastructure environment (500+ servers, multiple data center environments) Required and
    cloud hosting Required
