The Team

Front Gate Tickets is North America's leading software and operations provider for the festival market. We provide technical solutions for e-commerce ticketing, access control, data management and fan engagement. We partner and run on-site operations for over 200 festivals each year and are on a massive growth trajectory matched by no one in the industry. We do it for the fans! Front Gate is owned by Live Nation Entertainment and acts as Ticketmaster's festival arm. We are based in Austin, TX. 

THE JOB 

The Event Programmer is responsible for the programming setup for an assigned roster of events, price types, seating charts, etc. for client event on sales. They work in conjunction with the Client Operations team to gather information necessary to properly program, audit, and facilitate the on sale and maintenance of event software operations for all events sold on the FGT platform. A successful Event Programmer will be extremely detail oriented, thorough and ensure total accuracy and adherence to all FGT programming standards. The role is crucial to the success of all FGT events.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING 

  • Maintain the programming for a roster of events, from initial engagement through the end of the event
  • Support internal departments with general questions, support and troubleshooting related to event programming
  • Gather event details via email, project management tools, and through meeting attendance with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper understanding of details for configuration of events
  • Set proper timeline expectations based upon event build complexity and client requirements
  • Perform Event QA process to ensure programming accuracy and adherence to company compliance standards
  • Support internal FGT development teams by providing User Acceptance Testing setup and execution
  • Meet and exceed defined timelines around event programming
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all internal and external teams
  • Execute and complete other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS) 

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in enterprise software industry is highly desirable
  • Experience with the ticketing industry highly desirable
  • Knowledge of box office operations preferred
  • Computer savvy and proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn new technologies
  • Basic HTML skills preferred

  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation, written and listening
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must
  • Certain degree of creativity, latitude and problem solving is needed
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, take initiative, be proactive, motivated, have good attendance, multi-task, see solutions, and understand the duties needed to be performed with basic instruction
  • A passion for the live entertainment industry and the public who experience it
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed, including nights and weekends.
