Summary: Quality of Care Groupers team manages and owns the Optum/Symmetry ETG/ERG/EBM software processing for Cigna’s internal and external clients using historic member and medical, Pharmacy, Vision and Lab claims data. The input data feed is pulled from Teradata Vantage, processed in cloud, transferred to EC2 instances for quarterly processing and outputs loaded back to S3 buckets, Unity Catalog tables and/or RDS(using Lambdas) for either consumption by downstreams or Tableau reporting. To support this very diverse technical landscape, our engineers need to be proficient in the technology used and functionality supported. They are expected, as part of the AGILE planning, to own and deliver the workable code to build, support and/or enhance the business requirements and scale up, as needed, to the ever changing technology landscape. Qualifications Required Skills: • Enters an existing team and learns rapidly about the overall goals of the solution. Collaborates with the rest of the team to explore paths towards the overall goals. • Participate in peer reviews and deployments. Executes, understands that work is not complete until it is implemented. When analysis is complete and decisions have been made, the work has only just begun. Embraces an agile mindset to adjust to best achieve the overall goals; is not locked into initial decisions. At the same time, develops plans in advance to find a healthy balance of preparedness and flexibility, as appropriate for each situation’s needs. • Strong Analytical skills for problem solving and issue triaging Required Experience & Education: • 9+ years of experience in development projects • A Bachelor’s or Master’s qualification in computer technology • Strong hands-on 5+ development experience with Sql & pyspark framework. • Hands-on experience in Python. • Hands-on experience with common AWS Services such as Terraform, Lambdas, S3, SNS, and CloudWatch. • Experience in databricks Data engineering project. • Experience in deploying applications to development, test environments and production environments
