High-Level Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Platform/Infrastructure team team, you will be a key contributor in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and automated systems that power containerized deployments and multi-cloud environments. Your work will focus on enabling developer experience and productivity through robust tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation, while ensuring observability and reliability across our platforms.

Your day-to-day

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Platform/Infrastructure team, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining tools that support containerized deployments on Kubernetes and multi-cloud infrastructure. You’ll work with technologies like Python, Go, Groovy, Terraform, and more to drive automation, observability, and security across our systems. You’ll also collaborate closely with development teams to enhance developer experience by improving tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure practices.

• You have a proven technical background and enjoy working with high-performance teams.

• You enjoy helping to improve developer productivity and experience by improving the tools and assisting them as needed, as well as an eagerness to learn and pick up new technologies as required.

• You understand the benefits CI/CD brings to modern architecture and can empathize with the challenges of engineers not having one.

• You believe in the model of self-service and automation and thrive in a fast-paced and agile environment.

Must haves

• Solid Foundation in Systems: Deep understanding of system architecture and design principles, with the ability to build scalable, reliable systems and effectively debug issues.

• Expertise in Kubernetes (K8s): Deep hands-on experience managing containerized applications with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and manifest generation.

• DevOps & CI/CD: Strong DevOps knowledge with hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines across application and infrastructure layers and automating deployments.

• Observability Expertise: Proven experience building and maintaining Grafana dashboards to monitor and visualize system performance.

• Proficient in Multi-Cloud Environments: Hands-on experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure, including expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing applications in multi-cloud environments.

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in Software Development: Coding skills in Golang or Python, with the ability to architect, develop, and maintain robust software solutions.

• Infrastructure as Code: Working knowledge of Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using IaC principles.

• Experience with container and lifecycle technologies like Kubernetes, EKS, Mesos.

• Observability Tools: Familiarity with Prometheus, Thanos, OpenTelemetry, and monitoring platforms like Datadog.

• Cloud Cost Management: Experience tracking and optimizing cloud resource usage and costs.
