Subject Matter Expert

 

What this job involves:

  • The Financial Risk Management & Compliance Subject Matter Expert is responsible for providing independent and objective assurance that our Client Finance Services (IFM-Integrated Facilities Management and PDS-Project and Development Services) comply with SOCR, SOX and JLL Policies/Procedures.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform examination and review of financial records, reports, management controls, policies and practices affecting/reflecting the financial condition and operations results.

  • Maintain effective communications with supervisors, members of the Client Finance team, and other members of the FRMC team

  • Capability to perform a review and interpret data to formulate a conclusion and communicate effectively

  • Connect with the entities and able to handle their queries. Help the juniors in preparing their calls and be part of them wherever possible

  • Perform a review and tests of compliance (SOCR, SOX and JLL Processes) of month-end financial close packages to ensure timely and accurate financials

  • Be proactive in keeping Manager informed of all activities and suggest changes/updated where necessary

  • Review the work of other team members in the absence of supervisor and handle their queries and provide solution

  • providing training and education to team to ensure they understand and adhere to quality standards and procedures

  • Checking controls & Procedures related to financials on regular intervals

  • Understand the accounting processes for different types of contracts and their impact on financials

  • Making sure the access compliance is duly completed and reviewed properly

 

Performance Objectives

  • Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision

  • Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce & accounting, C.A (Inter/Complete), CS, CMA

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal.

  • Demonstrated consistency in values, principles and work ethic

  • Driving calls with clients and stakeholders independently

  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications with ability to quickly learn systems and processes (JD Edwards experience a plus)

  • 6-8 years of accounting experience required; experience in financial analysis or audit (internal or external) with emphasis on financial audits and internal controls testing a plus

  • People Handling experience would be a plus
