The Student Financial Services department in Prescott is searching for an Account Analyst. This position will play a key role in ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across multiple departments—including Financial Aid, University Accounting, Admissions, Housing, Dining Services, Athletics, and others—while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with university policies and regulatory requirements.

This position is responsible for auditing, reconciling, and managing student accounts to minimize financial loss. The Analyst will need an in-depth understanding of the student lifecycle, including processes such as registration, financial aid, refunds, payment plans, and policy enforcement.

The role involves analyzing various reports in Campus Solutions, identifying billing discrepancies, and resolving issues independently. Additionally, the Analyst will oversee collection efforts and ensure all student financial obligations are met before graduation, transcript release, and diploma issuance. The Analyst is expected to work overtime during peak periods to maintain top-tier service levels.

A strong knowledge of state and federal regulations, as well as university policies, is essential for compliance. Proficiency in tools such as Campus Solutions, TouchNet, Workday, and Microsoft Suite is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or completion of program of 18+ months after high school.
  • Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
