As Product Development and Implementation Manager (Commercial Parking), you will maintain knowledge of leading industry technology trends and utilize analytical and statistical data to develop and implement innovative strategies and manage projects to optimize revenue growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences related to the portfolio of public parking at the Airports Authority.

Serves in the Office of Commercial Parking and Office of Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Office located at the Headquarters Office Building.

Recommends and performs development and implementation of various parking strategic technology initiatives to optimize revenue, control costs, and drive customer satisfaction and innovation related to the portfolio of public parking products for both Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).

Performs related functions.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Integrates and assesses diverse inputs, including consumer trends, passenger trends, and customer feedback, to help identify parking revenue opportunities and operational improvements.

 

Acts as an interdepartmental liaison to lead and implement new technology programs, products, policies, and parking system enhancements.

 

Drives business development and revenue growth for the Airports Authority’s commercial parking programs and products through recommended technology strategies.

 

Works with other team members to drive sales revenue, implement and leverage new tools for cost controls, seek out innovation, and improve customer loyalty by delivering exceptional parking experiences.

 

Works cross-functionally with representatives from other Airports Authority departments to develop and implement commercial parking technology solutions that offer enhanced customer services and drive parking revenue.

 

Delivers executive-level briefings on parking technology strategy recommendations and project status.

 

Stays current with emerging conditions, trends, innovations, and practices that may have implications for parking at the Airports Authority and which may support selection and implementation of technology solutions and innovations critical to the customer experience.

 

Evaluates analyses of parking performance to identify, develop, and implement revenue opportunities, including pricing, products, and service enhancements utilizing technology.

Serves as the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) for certain contracts supporting the parking programs and products.

 

In conjunction with the Commercial Parking Products Director, develops specific Service Level Agreements and performance expectations for parking technology products and services and ensures compliance.

 

Leads and coordinates project management activities, identifies and defines project requirements, scope and objectives, and establishes timeframes for completion.

Monitors project progress and responds to issues that arise and communicates project status to stakeholders.

Drives efforts to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards. 

Translates business challenges into defined and documented functional requirements for project management and execution; develop business cases and proposals to illustrate the value of proposed solutions and to persuade decision makers to approve proposed solutions.

Advises stakeholders and business partners on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impacts on end-user products and services, business processes and system priorities.

Analyzes technological trends to determine relevance and makes recommendations on new opportunities to achieve business and performance goals.

Monitors performance of all systems and subsystems supporting the parking and shuttle bus products and services at the Airports and resolving all performance or other issues with system providers.

Leads staff or oversees contracted services to perform preventative and emergency repairs and maintenance for parking and shuttle bus systems and systems equipment.  

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Eight years of progressively responsible experience in project management and business strategy formulation. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

 

Experience and ability to lead a cross-functional team in the implementation of project initiatives.

 

Knowledge of business planning and operational process analysis as applied to business revenue and the ability to analyze programs/operations/services to help identify options for improvement, innovation, etc., in business activities.

 

Skill in strategic business technology planning for competitive advantage, to perform a full range of strategic business planning functions.

 

Ability to perform detailed analyses of data and information, operations, technology and business trends and develop actionable strategic plans.

 

Ability to perform operational analysis to assist in planning and decision making.

 

Ability to speak and write effectively, with emphasis on creating project plans, project updates, business strategy reports, and presentations.

 

Skill in using a computer, modern office suite and ability to learn new software/systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.

 

Knowledge and experience in parking systems in an airport environment.

PMP Certification

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
