Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division is looking for a Product Change Control Technician for our Corinth, Mississippi facility. This position will coordinate engineering releasing activities between engineering design areas and procurement/scheduling with effective and timely implementation. Coordinates capital planning, budgeting, and reporting for manufacturing operations throughout the campus. Create and manage complex excel files and Power BI Dashboards to visually illustrate changes and capital planning.

Responsibilities

  • Creating, maintaining, and communicating accurate change management data at both the local and corporate level through data entry in multiple management information systems.
  • Analyzing engineering releases, changes, drawing notices to create change management requirements, providing the creation of product structure based on engineering design.
  • Maintaining close team relationships with releasing analysts, as well as teams in manufacturing operations, process planning, engineering design, and material planning.
  • Creating, maintaining, and communicating capital planning management data at both the local and corporate level through data entry in multiple management information systems

Core Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations; ability to leverage well above average MS office skills, specifically Excel with formulas.

Manufacturing Application Systems: Knowledge of company and industry databases and applications used in a manufacturing environment; ability to operate, maintain and update these systems.

  • Documents the major interfaces and dependencies to and from other systems.
  • Follows procedures for the maintenance and upkeep of the databases.

Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
Level Basic Understanding:

  • Describes basic concepts of materials and capacity management processes and procedures.
  • Describes product life cycle and associated MRP cycle.
  • Identifies parameters and considerations used in making decisions about production runs.
  • Describes the use of bills of materials and other documentation needed to provide supplies.
