As part of the Securitized Products Group, the candidate will lead the structuring and execution of CLO warehouses and new issue CLO transactions with Santander clients. The candidate will participate in the full lifecycle of deals, from origination and warehouses to structuring, syndication, and closing.

The candidate should have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast faced environment that requires multi-tasking, high attention to detail, and close collaboration with internal teams, external constituents, and external clients.

Essential Functions/ Responsibility Statements:

  • Assist in the origination of CLO transactions by maintaining relationships with CLO managers, debt investors, and equity investors. Help to drive the growth of the Santander CLO franchise by generating warehouse and new issue mandates.

  • Lead the full execution through the lifecycle of CLO transactions following origination by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders including Sales and Trading, Credit, Legal, Counsel, and Rating Agencies.

  • Negotiate and execute CLO warehouse financings with CLO arrangers, coordinating internal approval processes.

  • Structure and model CLO transactions using Excel, Intex, and Rating Agency software.

  • Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and execution of CLO documentation with external counsel, issuers, and investors.

  • Coordinate with CLO syndicate in the marketing and pricing of CLO transactions.  

  • Partner closely with internal global teams across sales, banking, capital markets, and wealth management to help educate, develop, and advise clients on the CLO market

  • Help build external brand awareness of the Santander CLO franchise through participation in conferences and investor and issuer meetings.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, or equivalent degree and/or work experience, preferably in Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering.


Work Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in CLO structuring at a buy side or sell side firm. Exposure to CLOs or securitizations working at a Rating Agency or an Accounting Firm, or in a Quantitative/Strat role will also be considered.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Some exposure to Intex, VBA, and programming languages is a plus.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Minimum:

$243,000.00 USD

Maximum:

$330,000.00 USD
