The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter wanting to make their mark on our external and member communications whilst working alongside a small, collaborative team. This is a hands-on role, requiring creativity alongside a willingness to take initiative and get stuck in.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the ideation and creation of content for all organic social media channels, from filming and editing to the captioning of social posts
  • Work with the Head of Marketing to devise the overarching social media content strategy
  • Own the creation of the content calendar and scheduling of posts across all organic social media channels
  • Lead on influencer content creation to be used across organic and paid social media
  • Produce regular social media performance reports, including setting benchmarks and targets across all platforms
  • Plan, shoot and edit social videos to be used across Zipcar UK’s advertising on social media (Meta, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Collaborate with the Paid Media Marketing specialists to set live own and partner content on paid social media channels
  • Community management alongside the marketing manager and member services team to ensure a consistently high level of communication to all members
  • Support marketing team throughout the process of creating brand assets. Including briefing and organising photo and video shoots, as well as various other creative projects
  • Support wider marketing team with content creation including for email and website
  • Sourcing marketing partners and assisting with the delivery of partnership campaigns

Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in marketing, business or a relevant field is preferable
  • Prior experience working in a marketing or social media-based role is preferable
  • Excellent creative skills and an innovative mindset, with prior knowledge or willingness to learn Adobe Creative Cloud tools
  • In-depth knowledge of, and experience on social media platforms eg. Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok
  • Ability to plan, shoot and edit – generally produce – high quality, creative and on-brand social media assets (photos, videos).
  • Excellent communication skills across a variety of stakeholders, both written and verbal
  • Can-do attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the job done!
