FSE JOB DESCRIPTION

Field Service Engineer

You are a Service Engineer to provide service and support to current and future customers who utilize ProteinSimple’s instruments and service for Japan area. You are a key member of a team of service engineers responsible for providing service support for all ProteinSimple instruments throughout Japan. The work will include not only maintain, install, train on and repair but also include selling service contract, preparing manuals and technical documents and so forth.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide high level service activities including on-site service, depot service and remote support to our customers.
  • Perform product installation/set-up and train our instruments and software.
  • Manage installation process of instruments and software.
  • Perform assembly of instruments/system and testing before delivering them to customers.
  • Report on activities in the field on a regular basis to service manager, GM and sales team as requested.
  • Report on technical trends by relating customer and competitor feedback to appropriate people within the company and provide assistance in generating marketing materials when required.
  • Communication with customers, service team people, other departments (sales, application, finance and others) and people of headquarters or other overseas offices.
  • Create and maintain customer support information in database (SalesForce)

Qualifications

Workplace Requirements:

  • PC knowledge for instruments, software packages and database products
  • Must be a fast learner who is motivated and committed to excellence.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Capable and interested in working in a team environment
  • 3+ years of experience in field service for life-science, clinical diagnostic or medical market.
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Proficiency in both oral and written English communication (TOEIC score of 640 or higher) is desirable.
  • Driver’s license

■ サービスエンジニア

<仕事の内容>

タンパク質解析機器(キャピラリー電気泳動)およびタンパク質凝集測定装置などの修理、保守、メンテナンス、納品、バリデーションなど主に装置納入先でのサービス業務。主な顧客は製薬企業、バイオ関連の研究所、医学系薬学系大学研究室など。

<対象となる方>

高専卒、大学卒以上でバイオ関連のサンプル(タンパク質や血液など)を測定する分析機器や臨床検査機器、医療機器などのサービス業務経験者(FSE:フィールドサービスエンジニア)。

  • 電気、電子、機械系学科出身者、同等知識を有する方
  • 中級程度の英語力(英語マニュアルの読解、米国本社での研修、本社とのメールのやり取りなど)
  • Windows PCの取り扱い(デモ、機器操作でPCを使用)
  • 最先端の解析機器とそのソフトウェアに興味を持ち、積極的に業務に取組み、仕事上の提案などを行える方
  • 人と接することが好きで明るく対応できる方
  • 要普通自動車免許
  • 高い頻度の国内出張(月の半分)あるいは海外出張(年1回程度)に支障のない方
  • 日本語上級者の場合、国籍問わず。

経験、年齢等を考慮の上、優遇いたします。インセンティブシステム年1回
