ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

BUSINESS: Polaris Off-Road Vehicles (ORV):

LOCATION: Campus MTY (Apodaca N.L.)

DIRECT REPORTING: Materials Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The Supervisor, Planning is responsible Scheduler will balance supply and demand at the mix level specializing in implementing best practices. Responsible for creating, executing, and monitoring a scheduling management system

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and logistics
  • Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve customer needs
  • Schedule demand based on the product mix and provide accurate lead times to sales department
  • Have a deep understanding of Material Master, BOM and Production Planning Process integration
  • Determine available capacity before planned orders are released 9. Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning and forecasting
  • Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of equipment and staff as needed to meet delivery dates
  • Assists with capacity requirements during the annual operating plan
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement and Make Part Planning teams to ensure supplier and value streams are executing to the correct revision/builds
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, purchasing, production, and shipping
  • Communicate consistently with BOM team, flow down information, and provide performance feedback to develop team members for future roles or assignments
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects
  • Conduct quarterly audits and analyze BOM to ensure compliance with Material Management Accounting System (MMAS) standards
  • Ensure engineering documents are processed within the guidelines and run rules of the organization.
  • Applies knowledge of demand, material availability, capacity, and constraints to determine priorities and escalation requirements.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • Advanced English conversation level
  • 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 4-6 years in planning/supply chain · Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and related systems
  • Experience in planning, controlling and directing activities related to planning and scheduling

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:

  • Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data
  • Be capable of utilizing spreadsheet and ERP-type software in managing the planning process
  • Proven organizational, project management and leadership skills
  • Change Agent – skill with enabling change and strong influencing abilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal/written communication skills; can effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
  • Team player: able to work well across business operations and develop strong business teams
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with limited direction.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Standard office environment; required to spend time on manufacturing plant floor which includes walking / standing as needed.
  • Some travel may be required.
