About the Position

As the Head of Finance – UKI, you will be a key member of the European Finance Leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO for Western & Northern Europe with a matrix report to the Country Manager – UKI. This role gives you full market P&L responsibility for the UKI region while supporting the local team and standardising the financial framework across UKI and Europe. You will manage and support local finance commercial teams, delivering high-quality financial insights to drive market performance. You will also be responsible for overseeing cash flow management, maintaining a strong control framework, and driving efficiencies and cost savings across the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Provide crucial support to the Country Manager – UKI by managing financial risk, implementing opportunities, and offering thorough financial assessments and business intelligence.
  • Commercial Support: Provide detailed analysis of commercial plans at a customer and channel level, ensuring performance is on track through monthly financial reporting.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, offering clear insights into performance and operational soundness.
  • Business Partnering: Act as a strategic partner across all departments, helping them make informed financial decisions and understand their impact on the region’s bottom line.
  • Team Management: Lead finance teams responsible for accounting operations, financial reporting, and scenario planning.
  • Process Improvement: Work with global and regional Finance teams to align market processes with European and Global financial strategies.
  • Planning & Forecasting: Collaborate with business heads and finance teams to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting, identifying strategic solutions.
  • Leadership & Development: Provide exceptional leadership to the Market Finance team, fostering a high-performing environment and supporting professional development.
  • Project Participation: Contribute to various regional and global projects, including system implementations, M&A, and process improvements.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be currently based in London, UK, or open to relocating.
  • Have proven experience in a Commercial Finance role with P&L responsibility.
  • Be an experienced team leader with a history of effective people management.
  • Have extensive experience working within the UKI Market.
  • Possess strong Financial Controlling experience and the ability to collaborate closely with Financial Control teams.
  • Have extensive experience in FMCG, ideally in a food business.
