Job Description​

  • The Opportunity:

    As a Registered Nurse in our Pain Management Center located at our South location in Overland Park, Kansas you will have the opportunity to work in various work environments, including assisting with various procedures. This pain center offers a variety of pain management treatments. This is a great opportunity to do more with patient care, have variety in your work, and be part of the future of pain management. This is a fast paced center that will allow you to use your RN, multi-tasking, and customer service skills in a challenging rewarding environment where you can provide immediate results for your patients.

    We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, professional, patient-centered, intuitive RN who enjoys multi-tasking in a fast paced environment and is committed to patient satisfaction and helping their team succeed to ensure positive patient outcomes.

    Shift - PRN

    NO WEEKENDS, NO NIGHTS, NO CALL, NO HOLIDAYS

    During your time on the pre/post procedure side of the center you will:

    • Assist with rooming patients.
    • Confirm medical history.
    • Communicate with provider.
    • Administer pre procedure medication as ordered.
    • Provide patient education.
    • Discharge patients.

    During your time on the procedural side of the center you will:

    • Assist with various pain procedures: joint injections, trigger point injections, steroid epidurals, IV Administration, IV Medications, ablations and more.
    • This is a hands on RN position where you can be part of an inclusive, collaborative and helpful team that keeps patient care a priority and is always going above and beyond to help each other. This position is supported by a supportive, engaged, and empowering leader who wants to help you grow your skills and your career.

    The Work:

    • Provides professional nursing care for pain patients following established standards and practices.
    • Responsible for telephone screening (with protocols), medication/injection education, assist with procedures, dressing changes, and other duties as assigned by respective pain center.
    • Able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as, autonomously.
    • Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.

Applicable Experience:

Less than 1 year

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
