Reporting to the Platform Lead and working closely with the other members of the WPP I Ford team, the Asset Librarian is responsible for supporting Ford & Lincoln distributors with materials to use in their own marketing communications across Africa and Asia Pacific.

 

You will act as:

 

  • The initial point of contact for distributors requesting materials they are unable to find themselves
  • A key member of the Asset Librarian team, supporting colleagues in their requests and flexing workloads between you
  • The voice distributors, keeping Clients updated on progress and escalating any requirements that cannot be resolved within your immediate remit
  • Being responsible for managing your own time and workload, and able to work prioritize depending on business needs
  • Actively participate in team operations, and develop strong internal relationships across disciplines
  • Drive continued evolution in how we operate and how we work with our Clients - our methodology, talent, tools
  • Support third parties to improve their products to the benefit of Ford’s business
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues. Work closely with teams to diagnose issues and escalate as required within Client and agency organization.
  • Identify white space and areas of opportunity where technical solutions can be brought to the Clients to resolve pain points

 

This role is a regional position and will empower you to participate in the wider IMG team which is itself spread across a large geography from Algeria to Singapore. You will engage with multiple teams with various regional needs and have the ability to input into processes, whilst working with WPP’s largest client within a truly integrated, full-service team. 

 

 

THE REQUIREMENTS

 

Similar previous work experience is useful, but not essential. This role would suit someone looking for their first steps into a marketing career.   

 

  • Comfortable with IT and working with collaborative technology calls (e.g. file sharing, e-mail, spreadsheets such as Excel, Microsoft Teams and video calling)
  • An organized individual. Able to focus on multiple tasks, prioritize between them as necessary and keeping stakeholders regularly updated
  • Methodological approach to problem solving
  • A self-starter, able to work unsupervised
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Comfortable building relationships and partnering with Clients in a professional manner
  • Strong team player and able to work with immediate colleagues and line managers
  • Experienced in working in fluid and evolving engagements. Able to “roll up sleeves”, flexible mentality. Action oriented individual
  • Automotive experience desirable but not essential
  • Business English essential
  • Able to support a time zone of GMT +4, and working week of Monday to Friday
