Job Description:

We’re looking for a Data Developer / Analyst to join our Manulife Myanmar Data & BI Services Team. In this role, you are expected to be involved with an agile, high performing team doing business data requirement gathering, data engineering and analysis, in support of solutions that conform to Manulife standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Engineering and Ingestion: Work with application team to ingest the data into Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) along with any technical/engineering work required for data ingestion.
• Data Analysis and Investigation: Analyze and resolve data-related issues, such as incorrect data or discrepancies, and investigate feed failures.
• Reporting and Metrics: Design and build dashboards and reports using tools like PowerBI, Power Automate, or PowerApps for business users and track/monitor and maintain the reports.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for a wide range of systems by working with application team to help with troubleshooting applications from data level.
• Collaboration and Development Coordination: Work with development teams to coordinate efforts for both major and minor enhancements for data model/structure perspective, ensuring alignment and progress.
• Continuous Improvement and Documentation: Stay updated on industry standards and methodologies, consistently apply continuous improvement principles, and document data models, algorithms, PowerBI interface and logic.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information technology or sufficient experience with data engineering and/or data visualization
• Experience: Minimum 2 years working experience with either data engineering, preferably with Azure EDL stack (Databricks, DataLake, Synapse, etc.), and/or data visualization with PowerBI
• Fast leaner with excellent analytical skills for data analytics
• Strong SQL query skills and experience with relational databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB
• Good interpersonal, and communication skills in both English and Burmese
• Any Azure data related certification will be a plus
• Big Data Technologies like Spark, Hadoop or NiFi
