Introduction: A Career at HARMAN Lifestyle
We’re a global, multi-disciplinary team that’s putting the innovative power of technology to work and transforming tomorrow. As a member of HARMAN Lifestyle, you connect consumers with the power of superior sound.
- Contribute your talents to high-end, esteemed brands like JBL, Mark Levinson and Revel
- Unite your passion for audio innovation with high-tech product development
- Create pitch-perfect, cutting-edge technology that elevates the listening experience
About the Role
As a Staff Data & Intelligence Manager for the Experience Platform, you will design, build, and operationalize the intelligence capabilities that power Harman’s next-generation connected experiences. You will transform device telemetry, app behavior data, cloud signals, and cross-product interactions into actionable insights, growth experiments, and platform intelligence that guide decision-making and elevate experience quality across all Consumer Audio BUs.
This role combines data architecture literacy, analytical depth, AI fluency, and practical growth experimentation. You will define how data is collected, structured, analyzed, and activated to drive personalization, multi-device orchestration, feature optimization, and rapid learning cycles. You will work closely with product, architecture, engineering, and BU teams to build intelligence systems that accelerate platform adoption and ecosystem evolution.
This is a core individual contributor role — you will serve as the intelligence engine for the Experience Platform and a key driver of Harman’s data-driven transformation.
Your Team
You will join the One Platform team — a multidisciplinary group focused on building Harman’s Experience Platform, which unifies cross-device software capabilities and connected experiences. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, architects, and AI specialists to develop the intelligence foundation that supports all BUs and drives long-term strategic value.
Your work will directly shape how Harman understands users, optimizes experiences, and evolves its multi-device ecosystem through data, experimentation, and AI.
Your work will directly influence the next decade of Harman’s ecosystem evolution.
What You Will Do
- Define and maintain the data foundation for the Experience Platform, including data models, event taxonomies, instrumentation standards, and cross-device behavioral signals.
- Run a “growth hacking”-style intelligence function — designing experiments, generating insights, validating hypotheses, and driving learning loops across the platform.
- Build and operationalize experimentation frameworks (A/B tests, rollouts, telemetry-based validation) to accelerate platform and feature iteration.
- Analyze cross-device data, user journeys, and funnel metrics to identify opportunities for experience optimization, personalization, and stability improvements.
- Partner with product managers to translate insights into platform capabilities, such as recommendation modules, intelligent triggers, or prediction-based experience logic.
- Work with engineering and architecture teams to define data flows, event pipelines, model integration points, and performance requirements.
- Build dashboards, intelligence reports, and decision frameworks to elevate visibility of platform performance and inform cross-BU decisions.
- Develop multi-device behavioral models and early intelligence capabilities to support orchestration, personalization, and proactive experience design.
- Establish platform KPIs, observability frameworks, data health metrics, and diagnostic systems for experience quality.
- Explore and integrate generative AI and LLM-based intelligence workflows to enhance analysis, experimentation, and decision acceleration.
- Produce clear documentation, intelligence guidelines, and adoption materials to help BUs and engineering teams leverage platform intelligence effectively.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Passion for data-driven experience innovation, growth experimentation, and multi-device user understanding.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, AI/ML, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, experimentation, intelligence systems, or growth analytics in consumer products or platforms.
- Strong proficiency in data modeling, event instrumentation, experimentation design, and metrics development.
- Hands-on experience with A/B testing platforms, hypothesis-driven iteration, and insight-to-action workflows.
- Experience with cloud-based analytics (AWS/GCP/Azure), data processing frameworks, and telemetry pipelines.
- Ability to turn raw data into clear narratives, recommendations, and platform-level feature opportunities.
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design teams.
- Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, personalization mechanisms, and predictive analytics.
- Strong fluency in modern AI tools as part of your daily workflow — from research and concept exploration to documentation, analysis, and accelerating product decision-making.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Experience with multi-device ecosystems (audio, IoT, wearables, smart home, connected apps).
- Background in behavioral analytics, funnel optimization, customer journey modeling, or product intelligence.
- Experience building or scaling experimentation frameworks in a platform or multi-BU environment.
- Familiarity with ML Ops, real-time intelligence, or edge-device data integration.
- Experience driving 0→1 intelligence systems in innovation or ambiguous environments.
