Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a mid-level expert to serve as the key person in discovering, transitioning, and evaluating finance processes of entities being integrated into our Global Business Services (GBS) organization. This role will focus on Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) processes, driving end-to-end process discovery, managing transitions into the GBS center, implementing process improvements, and overseeing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for these processes.
The position is initially an individual contributor role. The ideal candidate has a strong shared services background (manufacturing industry experience is a plus), is fluent in English (German language skills beneficial), and is willing to travel for on-site discovery and transition activities as needed. This is a high-impact role interfacing with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of new entities into the GBS model while maintaining excellence in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead process discovery and documentation for AP, AR, and GL at new entity locations.
  • Develop and execute transition plans for migrating finance processes into the GBS center.
  • Coordinate knowledge transfer, training, and hypercare support phases.
  • Act as the liaison between local finance teams and GBS during transitions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of finance processes.
  • Implement best practices and automation to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Define, monitor, and report on KPIs for AP, AR, and GL.
  • Ensure service levels are met and performance is transparent to stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Process Mapping & Discovery: Ability to conduct detailed walkthroughs and document workflows for AP, AR, and GL.
  • Project Management: Skilled in planning and executing transitions, including resource coordination and milestone tracking.
  • ERP Proficiency: Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong data analysis skills to interpret KPIs and drive improvements.
  • Change Management: Experience managing organizational change and stakeholder engagement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in finance/shared services with AP, AR, and GL exposure.
  • Hands-on experience in process transitions or migrations to shared services.
  • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong advantage.
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 20–30%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Additional European language skills.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or advanced project management.
