Job Description

OES Equipment, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is a fast-paced supply and rental equipment company in the construction industry. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transportation Coordinator to support our logistics and transportation operations. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in supply chain management, transportation planning, or logistics coordination. The successful candidate will assist in scheduling shipments, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily transportation activities including scheduling pickups and deliveries. 
  • Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or issues. 
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and documentation. 
  • Assist in preparing reports related to transportation performance and costs. 
  • Support compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. 
  • Collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to meet delivery expectations. 
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.  
  • Internship or prior experience in logistics or transportation (even if informal). 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required; experience with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus. 
  • Experience with freight carriers, shipping documentation, and routing. 
  • Customer service experience. 

Physical Requirements

  • Office-based with occasional visits to warehouse or shipping locations.
  • May require flexible hours depending on shipment schedules.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
