About the Team and the Role:
You’ll be joining the Seller Experience organization within eBay — the heartbeat of our global marketplace. This team owns the end-to-end seller journey, from onboarding and listing to selling and fulfillment, operating at massive scale across 190+ markets and billions of listings. We build foundational platforms and experiences that enable sellers to operate efficiently while maintaining trust, compliance, and performance at global scale.
As eBay continues to evolve commerce, eBay Live represents a new selling approach — real-time, interactive, and dedicated to engaging material. Live selling introduces unique platform challenges around latency, inventory consistency, pricing, trust, payments, and scale that require deep technical collaboration and thoughtful product leadership.
As a Sr Product Manager for Selling Experience, you will be responsible for the seller-facing platform and experience strategy that powers live commerce globally. This role is at the intersection of experience build and core platform capabilities. It requires you to think beyond individual features and build reusable, extensible systems that serve Live while strengthening the broader eBay seller ecosystem.
You will work closely with engineering, architecture, data, and infrastructure teams to define product requirements that translate into scalable services, APIs, and workflows, ensuring eBay Live can operate reliably in real time while integrating with core eBay systems.
This is a highly visible, cross-functional role that blends product craft, technical fluency, platform thinking, and strategic execution.
What You Will Accomplish:
Define and drive the product vision and multi-quarter roadmap related to seller experiences within the eBay Live environment, aligning with Seller Experience and eBay’s long-term platform strategy.
Partner deeply with engineering and architecture teams to design scalable solutions across: user-focused and microservices architectures, API development and contract definitiondata flows, state management, and real-time systems, integrations with inventory, pricing, payments, trust, and compliance platforms
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver mobile-first, low-latency seller tools that support live selling workflows such as real-time listing, bidding, inventory updates, and order finalization.
Balance short-term experimentation with long-term platform health, ensuring new Live capabilities do not introduce technical debt or fragmentation across seller systems.
Apply data-driven decision making by defining success metrics, instrumentation, and validation frameworks to evaluate adoption, seller performance, GMV impact, and system reliability.
Champion seller needs at scale, translating qualitative insights and behavioural data into clear product and platform requirements.
Establish experimentation and rollout frameworks that allow safe iteration in high-risk, high-visibility live commerce environments.
Identify platform-level innovation opportunities, leveraging AI, automation, and intelligent defaults to reduce seller effort while improving listing quality and trust.
Collaborate with Program Management to manage dependencies, mitigate delivery risk, and communicate progress, tradeoffs, and outcomes to senior leadership.
Model a “decide and deliver” approach, improving execution quality while enabling teams to move with speed and confidence.
What You Will Bring:
8+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years leading complex, platform-centric initiatives in large, distributed systems.
Proven experience building and scaling customer-facing platforms in commerce, marketplaces, social, or real-time systems.
Strong technical proficiency, with the ability to: partner effectively with senior engineers and architects, reason about system design, APIs, microservices, and data models, understand tradeoffs around latency, reliability, scalability, and consistency
Demonstrated ability to build platform capabilities that support multiple experiences and teams, not just single-use features.
Deep experience with mobile-first product development, especially in workflows requiring speed, accuracy, and minimal friction.
Expertise applying AI and automation to solve real customer problems, including experimentation, model validation, and human-in-the-loop build.
Proven analytical abilities including defining metrics, running experiments, and translating insights into roadmap decisions.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of aligning technical and non-technical collaborators around a shared vision.
