An individual who will perform the various janitorial duties at the office facility and other support facilities. Individual will be responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy facility by completing various tasks including mopping, vacuuming, removing debris, disinfecting surfaces and restrooms and emptying trash receptacles.

Job Description:
 

Essential Duties:

• Sweep and mop floors.

• Vacuuming and placing rugs.

• Cleans buildings by emptying trash, dusting, sweeping and cleaning surfaces.

• Mix and use cleaning solutions to remove stains and cleaning surfaces.

• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.

• Clean and disinfect restrooms and locker rooms.

• Identify and report possible repairs and do some maintenance.

• Operate motorized equipment for cleaning.

• Assist with snow and dirt removal from parking lots and sidewalks.

• Assist with cleanup around exterior of buildings.

• General building maintenance such as but not limited to hanging items, assembly of furniture, changing batteries.

• Assist in setting up meeting rooms for events or meetings.

• Assist with town runs to pick up supplies, tools, lunch, etc.

• Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures and state and federal environmental regulations.

Other Duties:

• Safely operate all vehicles and other job-related equipment. 

• Operate snow blower and skid steer to remove snow.

• Assist with mine site security.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Good verbal and written communications.

• Self-directed, able to act independently and make sound decisions.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work with or without mechanical assistance.

• Experience and knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.

Education and Training:

• Must have two years’ experience in custodian or janitorial related work.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
