JOB SUMMARY

This is an entry level Intern position focused on providing customer service, project development, and analytical support to our commercial operations, you will assist with financial modeling, project economics, and volume forecasting for the benefit of internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for regional market analysis, customer and competitor analysis, and business analytics. This opportunity will provide an individual with the opportunity to learn the midstream business in a fast paced yet exciting environment.

An example of your projects could include:
- Economic analyses of business opportunities to assess profitability and economic viability.
- Utilize standardized financial metrics to evaluate profitability measurements, including returns analysis and earnings impact.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as customer account representatives, on various analyses.
- Assist in preparing financial models and presentations related to new construction projects, customer contract negotiations, acquisitions and divestitures, system optimization, and financial and volume forecasts.
- Work with team members to enhance knowledge and skill levels.
- Analyze current customer volumes to understand market trends.
- Consult with customers, review contracts, and collaborate with logistics teams to anticipate customer requirements.
- Handle nominations, confirmations, and scheduling of pipeline volumes.
- Manage volumetric imbalances with producers, shippers and pipelines daily in accordance with contractual and system compliance.
- Communicate results to the Commercial team.
- Collaborate with third-party consultants to understand the markets for refined products, crude oil natural gas and natural gas liquids and analyze the global economy's impact on our business and customers.
- Provide recommended short-, middle-, and long-term perspectives based on analyzed information.

Education:
- In pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree, including but not limited to: engineering, mathematics, data analytics, accounting, marketing, business administration, business analytics, business management, agribusiness or finance.

Work Experience:
- 0-1 year related work experience in the energy industry preferred.

Job Profile Summary

Based on area of assignment interns provide support in a variety of functional areas inclusive of: Accounting, Business, Communications, Compliance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Public Affairs, Risk Management/Analysis, Safety as well as other disciplines.

With supportive guidance and mentoring Interns are provided the opportunity to engage to obtaining first-hand knowledge and experience.

Internships are designed to augment college learning by further educating students in teamwork, problem solving skills, work ethics, adaptability, communication, responsibility, time management, organization, perseverance and motivation as well as commercial awareness and business acumen.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assist in a wide range of responsibilities inclusive of job shadowing, preparing reports, analyzing data, learning about various operational, technical, and/or business-related compliance, regulatory, and/or technical components.
  • Assist with development of presentations, trainings, knowledge sharing, and/or other administrative responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree related to the internship area should be under pursuit or have been obtained
