Job Description:
The Sr. Product Specialist role is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities for a domestic discretionary or non-discretionary, advisory product, which may include managing a product within the brokerage or institutional offering. Responsibilities may include managing strategic initiatives from idea creation through execution & implementation, enhancing the investment offering, overseeing the client experience, such as client exception requests and billing concerns, Manage and address adhoc requests and issues relating to Legal, Compliance, Risk & Audit inquiries, Manage product collateral such as enrollment docs, contract, disclosure documents, and procedure manuals, partner with Operations and other ad hoc issues

The Senior IRA Product Specialist role within the Investment Products & Personal Retirement space will be responsible for various personal retirement account types, functions and experiences offered through Merrill distribution channels.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include (but not limited to) the development, execution, deployment, and oversight of a comprehensive set of personal wealth and retirement products and services across multiple facets of the client lifecycle. 

The role will be responsible for overseeing multiple platform routines that prioritize growth, experience and risk management. Primary accountability for platform management and governance inclusive of product experience, policy/ procedure oversight, process and controls maintenance, metrics/reporting as well as creation and delivery of product marketing/communication collateral. 

Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred and/or minimum 8 years of financial services experience (minimum of 3 years related to personal retirement and/or IRA experience)

·       Subject matter expert that possesses extensive understanding of IRA product rules and regulations (familiarity with the firm’s operational controls and processes preferred)

·       Ability to develop and deliver best in class platform and experience through innovation and management of strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications:

·       Drive initiatives through strong project leadership, management, and accountability within the risk framework with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

·       Create and maintain product marketing, plan documents, communications, and educational materials across Merrill distribution channels

·       Digest and lead various regulatory initiatives as needed

·       Presents themselves and the Firm in a highly professional and consultative manner with prior client or advisor facing experience desired

- Must have a minimum of 8 years related experience in financial services, with a minimum of 3 years IRA experience.
