Goal

 

Lead a group of contributors who support the Sales team on pre-sales and post-sales multi-faceted projects with technical activities such as takeoff, drawings, bill of materials, directly leading a team of leaders.  This position is responsible for the performance and culture of a group aligned around a product and/or region.  Leadership and guidance for a large group of employees.

 

Essential Functions

  • Lead a group that provides the following services:
    • Support on Request for Proposals working on takeoffs, bill of material creation, pricing, etc.
    • Create pre-design drawings (Spots & Dots), shop drawings, submittal drawings, and As-Built drawings based on the client’s standards and/or markups after site survey.
    • Create post-sales design drawings and engineering packages.
  • Provide our internal and external engineering team leaders with leadership and technical guidance.
  • Analyze and create corrective action plans based upon client feedback and KPI’s in order to strive for a more efficient organization.
  • Ensure the overall quality of the group via pre-defined ISO 9001 standard guidelines and change/adapt guidelines when necessary.
  • Set up and constantly review lines of communication between all levels within group and internal clients.
  • Create onboarding and continual education plans for a group of entry, mid, and senior level employees.
  • Provide career, technical, and motivational guidance to an engineering team.
  • Coordinate with internal management and clients in order to control quality, communication, and efficiency throughout your team.
  • Work with Human Resources to ensure compliance with Corporate and Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Recruit and hire qualified candidates.

 

What we look for:

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • +8 years of experience in Fire Alarm, Security, CCTV and/or Construction design activities.
  • Ability to motivate, lead and influence a large group and perform multiple assignments and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Effective and professional communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.
  • Advanced business level in English (B2+)

 

Preferred

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or Engineering.
  • Demonstrable experience in career of leading technical employees, with an increase in level of responsibility throughout career.
  • Experience in electronic security systems such as access control, video, intrusion, fire alarm, building automation.
  • Experience with NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code).
  • Brand certification is a significant plus (Software House, Kantech, Lenel, ExacqVision, ProWatch, etc.)
