The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, was established in 1991 as a Division of Materials Engineering—a first in Singapore. NTU-MSE seeks an accomplished Senior Assistant Manager (Marketing Communications) to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in elevating the School’s profile through strategic marketing and branding initiatives. This role is pivotal in attracting high-quality students to enrol in the School’s undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education & training (CET) programmes. It will also be critical in enhancing employer branding and expanding its digital footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote NTU-MSE’s undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education & training (CET) programmes to attract high-quality students.

  • Enhance NTU-MSE's profile through innovative marketing campaigns, content creation, and public relations efforts to create awareness and attract top faculty talents.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement employer branding strategies to position NTU-MSE as an employer of choice.

  • Manage the NTU-MSE's digital marketing presence, including website, social media channels, and email marketing campaigns.

  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and target audience insights to inform marketing strategies.

  • Develop and manage marketing budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and ROI.

  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to continuously refine strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing communications.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing trends and best practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content.

  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in marketing analytics and reporting tools.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure with a meticulous nature.

  • Good teamwork and initiative to accomplish given tasks timely and accurately.

  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
