BE THE DIFFERENCE

At AIA we don’t simply believe in being ‘the best’. We believe in better – because there’s no limit to how far ‘better’ can take us. Everything we do is driven by our purpose to make a difference by helping people embrace Healthier, Longer, Better Lives. And every one of our people has an important role to play. If you want to make a difference by helping shape a healthier, better-protected Australia, read on.

The Opportunities:

The Contract UX UI Designer will help shape high‑quality digital experiences that strengthen AIA’s B2B tenders and Group Insurance offerings.

The role will work with the CX and Group Insurance teams to visualise customer and stakeholder journeys for super funds. It will produce interactive Figma prototypes, high‑fidelity UI screens, and clear visual artefacts that explain complex solutions.

The role will also support user testing, iteration, and co‑design workshops to deliver customer‑centred outcomes that improve tender success.

This role is a 6 month contract and will be located in our Melbourne Office.

To do this successfully you will:

  • Design experience in web, tablet and mobile environments required.
  • Must have excellent design skills and an eye for detail, preferably with a graphic design background.
  • Must have experience integrating user research into design practices.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts and ideas into visual representations, including user journeys, mock ups and detailed designs into UI handover using Design Systems
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques.
  • Demonstrable journey mapping experience.
  • Expertise in core digital channels and capabilities and omni channel intersections.
  • Familiarity with life insurance a huge bonus, but not essential.

Successful applications will demonstrate:

• Design and prototype high‑quality experiences including UI screens, Figma prototypes, user journeys, and visual concepts for B2B tenders and Group Insurance.

• Translate complex digital and service information into clear wireframes, mock ups, and visual artefacts that support strong tender storytelling.

• Engage stakeholders through co‑design, discovery, and alignment workshops, gathering insights and requirements from internal teams and super fund partners.

• Use user testing and feedback to iterate and refine prototypes to ensure customer and business alignment.

• Maintain design consistency by working within guidelines and producing UX artefacts that support both development and tender submissions.
