Job Description: 

Altera (an Intel company) Cloud and Enterprise Acceleration Division (CEAD) are seeking a software engineer to be part of our software development team in India.
CEAD are responsible for enabling hardware acceleration in data center environments using Altera's silicon technologies, primarily FPGAs. This worldwide team develop acceleration technologies in collaboration with hyperscale cloud service providers, covering diverse workloads including networking, storage, databases, AI/ML, security/cryptography, and many more.
Our India team primarily focus on database acceleration and data center infrastructure acceleration for compute and AI use cases.

In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience working with low level software including device drivers and embedded systems
  • x86 / host development experience in Linux.
  • C++, Java, Python
  • Experience of any of the following would be advantageous: NVMe, RDMA/RoCE, databases (including SQL, Apache Spark), AI/ML
