The Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting activities across our Corporate Accounting organization including the preparation of monthly accounting records as well as related reporting, analytical activities and initiatives.

General Responsibilities
Prepare and enter journal entries
• Responsible for performing balance sheet reconciliations
• Follow the company’s chart of accounts
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Apply research and analytical skills to analyze current financial status, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
• Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
• Identify errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures, liaising with management and cross-functional stakeholders
• Prepare financial statements and supplemental schedules
• Develop and document business processes ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
• Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
• Prepare special financial reports as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

The Senior Accountant will be integral member of our Corporate Accounting team with focus on Reporting and Compliance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Global account reconciliation support
  • Procure-to-pay account process standardization
  • Balance sheet and P&L flux analysis and
  • Global ROU asset reporting
