The Opportunity/Role 📢
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Tooling Engineer to ensure that all Extrusion Tooling is maintained to highest standard and prepared, providing optimum extrusion performance. Responsibilities will include:
To ensure that all extrusion tooling is maintained to the highest standard and prepared, providing optimum extrusion performance.
Responsible for the repair, maintenance and improvement to all tooling dies,
The purpose of this role also includes consistently reviewing our internal processes to support continuous improvement.
jigs, fixtures and fittings for tools in line with production and customer requirements to support business objectives.
Provide a “hands on” leadership resource to support the management of the tool stores and support with training and mentoring others as and when required.
Shift and Pay Monday-Thursday 8am - 4:30pm and Friday 8am - 3:30pm £43,000 per annum Attendance bonus: £300 per quarter (subject to 100% attendance)
Requirements:
Strong Health & Safety awareness, role-modelling good behaviour.
Prior experience in a tooling/toolmaking role, using machine tools/tool room machines.
Minimum level 3 engineering (or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ experience working in an engineering environment.
Ability to read and understand 2D tooling drawings.
Hands on experience in using machine tools (Turning, milling, drilling, etc.)
High attention to detail.
Evidenced experience of achieving production targets and assisting in the implementation of improvement plans.
Ability to work effectively and build relationships in a team environment.
Work mostly independently with minimal supervision, work and liaise with a range of internal departments and external suppliers, service providers and customers utilizing effective communication across all functions.
