The application software team within Supply Chain builds and maintains the core operational systems for our Strategic Sourcing, Procure-to-Pay, Supplier Portal, Warehouse Management System, Transportation Management System along with several other business applications.

At Blue Origin – we create/maintain mission critical applications that are used throughout the company to accelerate launch vehicle production and flight as well as systems that enable our goal of radically reducing the cost of access to space.

We work closely with stakeholders throughout the company to create and update our systems with respect to reusable launches, and programs designed to democratize access to space.

Aerospace experience is not required to be successful here - rather we look for smart, motivated, collaborative engineers who love solving problems and want to make an impact on a super inspiring mission. You will have full ownership of challenging problems, working with a team of enthusiastic engineers to design and produce solutions that enable Blue Origin to move towards our goals at a rapid pace.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop highly reliable software solutions that are used across Blue
  • Create new applications that improve how Blue operates
  • Build prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify technical constraints
  • Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
  • Deep dive into your users’ problems to find and create efficient solutions
  • Bring your voice to the table in team collaborations on architecture, design, and code reviews
  • Manage the CostPoint, Coupa and/or ExoStar solutions, including implementing modifications and running deployments
  • Build integrations between CostPoint, Coupa and/or ExoStar and custom applications used across Blue


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience building software
  • Experience in full stack development
  • 2+ years of experience working with CostPoint, Coupa or ExoStar in a professional environment
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.  


PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (SHOULD KNOW TWO OR MORE):

  • Programming experience in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented language
  • Experience with CostPoint, Coupa and/or ExoStar modules
  • 1+ years of rigorous experience building single page web applications
  • Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts
  • Expertise in designing software systems
  • Deep understanding of testing, build, deployment & monitoring
  • Front-end experience in Angular, React, or similar JavaScript framework
  • Database experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar database technologies


 

Compensation Range for:

CA applicants is $93,870.00-$131,418.00;WA applicants is $93,870.00-$131,418.00

Other site ranges may differ
