The Research Technician position in the Agroecology Lab will work on an hourly basis on tasks related to More Bang for your Buckwheat and Growing in the Right Direction. Responsibilities may include field experiment setup, data collection, assisting researchers and graduate students, and general laboratory maintenance and support. This position is not considered essential staff.
Duties/Responsibilities
Field and laboratory data collection (45%)
Record keeping and note taking (35%)
Supporting graduate students and researchers on grant-related tasks (20%)
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or 4 years of experience
Ability to work independently and in small groups.
Strong organization skills.
Experience working in agricultural settings
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a scientific research program.
Degree or coursework in ecology, statistics, agronomy, soil science or related.
Compensation Pay Range:
$22 hour
