Job Role Description:
- The Business Analyst supports the design, implementation and maintenance of data flow channels and data processing systems that support the collection, storage, batch and real-time processing, and analysis of information in a scalable, repeatable and secure manner.
- This role focuses on defining optimal solutions to data collection, processing and warehousing. He/She focuses on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing and visualizing large sets of data to turn information into insights accessible through multiple platforms to improve the business.
- The Business Analyst is passionate about numbers and works with large data sets. He/She has a keenness for understanding Airline business processes and resolving challenges in order to provide solutions.
Identify Business needs:
- Identify suitable data structures based on business needs to ensure availability and accessibility of data for NMC Head to make critical business decisions/ recommendations.
- Determine technical system requirements based on data.
Build and maintain data pipeline:
- Assist in building scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, load and integrate data
- Monitor data system performance and support the handling and logging of errors
- Assist in the integration of data systems with existing infrastructure
- Automate the data collection and analysis processes, data releasing and reporting tools
Data visualization:
Enhance and build Operation dashboard :
- SQL Query Language - Advanced
- Google Cloud BigQuery - Advanced
- Data Analysis - Advanced
- Tableau - Advanced
- Looker Studio - Advanced
- System Integration - Intermediate
- Analytical Thinking - Advanced
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or a similar role, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, especially BigQuery.
- Demonstrable experience in creating and maintaining interactive dashboards using visualization tools like Tableau or Looker Studio.
- Well verse in airline operations and schedule will be an added advantage.
Technical Proficiency:
- Expert-level SQL skills for complex data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for data processing, automation, and analysis.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for working with large datasets.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
