Description:

Within the assigned sales district (Edmonton/Northern Alberta), represent our company and grow Sleeman Breweries’ portfolio presence in the trade. Lead the execution of all sales related activities.

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve district volume and gross margin targets. 
  • Provide direction and leadership to district field sales team and lead performance management (coaching, succession planning, development) for approximately 7 reports. 
  • Provide input to develop and lead execution of strategic plans for district; recommend plan changes to ensure the region remains on track to achieve targets 
  • Establish strong working relationships with territory customers to maximize sales opportunities and customer satisfaction; may be involved with key accounts, depending on the region  
  • Manage district sales expenses within established budget and implement MUDA reductions 
  • Work collaboratively with regional Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and HR leadership to ensure the district remains on track to deliver execution objectives 
  • Remain updated on industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies and tactics 
  • Report on district performance results and identify continuous improvement opportunities 
  • Ensure all work performed by team is in compliance with applicable legislation 
  • Perform other related duties as required 

Requirements 

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in a consumer-packaged goods environment, including at least 2 years of leadership experience in a sales environment 
  • Post-secondary education in a related field 
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.  
  • Experience developing and executing annual sales plans 
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization 
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal; strong presentation skills 
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools: Power BI, CRM 365, Excel, Power Point, TEAMS. 
  • Beverage alcohol industry experience is an asset 
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 
  • Ability to demonstrate behaviours compatible with organizational values 

Working Conditions 

  • Travel required; spends approximately 3 days per week in the field coaching staff

Exigences

  • Minimum 5 ans d'expérience en vente dans un environnement de biens de consommation emballés, incluant au moins 2 ans d'expérience en leadership dans un environnement de vente
  • Éducation postsecondaire dans un domaine connexe
  • Un solide bilan d'atteinte des objectifs de ventes et de stimulation de la croissance des revenus.
  • Expérience dans l'élaboration et l'exécution des plans de vente annuels
  • Capacité prouvée à bâtir des relations de travail solides, internes et externes à l'organisation
  • Une communication efficace, tant écrite qu'orale; Solides compétences en présentation
  • Compétent dans l'utilisation des outils Microsoft Office : Power BI, CRM 365, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS.
  • L'expérience dans l'industrie des boissons alcoolisées est un atout
  • Permis de conduire valide et dossier de conduite propre
  • Capacité à démontrer des comportements compatibles avec les valeurs organisationnelles

Conditions de travail

  • Voyage requis; passera environ 3 jours par semaine sur le terrain à accompagner et coacher les employés.es.
