As an Application Engineer, Production IT within our Application division, you will play a key role in supporting the application team and advanced clients with problem resolution and root cause analysis of issues or problems related to all things networking.  Additionally you will be a key interface point to the Product Management and R&D teams to provide expert application insight as well as feature requests/bugfixes coming back from the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop best practice guidelines for a range of third party switches (Luminex, Extreme, Netgear, etc) for configuration in installation and renal environments (single and multiprotocol setups.)
  • Troubleshoot multiprotocol network issues (PTP clock, VLAN traversal, AVB + Dante + AES67, 1722.1 control)
  • Develop troubleshooting guidance and tooling/scripts/Wireshark filters for use by the broader Application team
  • Help design and review customer designs for WiFi control networks
  • Review reports from the team of Application Engineers and be a point of escalation for them to help debug complex or intermittent problems with networked audio and control.
  • Conduct validation tests on electronic, firmware, and software developments to verify their operation in various situations.
  • Perform specific tests as needed, including product interoperability, network topologies, protocol coexistence, etc.
  • Identify and resolve the causes of technical problems using an analytical approach to determine the source of issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Write detailed reports on test results and resolved technical issues.
  • Provide expert advice to our international clients and partners on our electronic products and their implementation.
  • Provide high-level technical support on incidents, working to resolve issues quickly and minimize downtime.

Requirements :

  • Advanced degree in audiovisual, electronics, or computer science.
  • Networking credentials preferred (CCNA + ENCOR/ENARSI, Dante L3, etc).
  • Previous experience in a similar role in the pro-audio industry.
  • Expert background with audio networking and deep understanding of all major protocols in use.
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Strong sense of service and ability to work in a team.
  • Bilingual English required to communicate effectively with our international clients and partners.
