Role Overview: The Director of Technology Operations will oversee the organization's technology infrastructure, security operations, and business applications to support its $400 million business. Reporting to the SVP of IT, this role collaborates with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), Systems Architects, Engineers, and external partners to develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap. The Director ensures operational excellence, robust cybersecurity practices, and alignment with organizational goals while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the SVP of IT to develop and maintain an operational infrastructure strategy that aligns with organizational goals and emphasizes exceptional user experience (UX) and customer satisfaction.
- Work with MSP and MSSP partners to design and implement a comprehensive security program that not only mitigates risks but also ensures minimal disruption to end-users and a seamless customer experience.
- Engage with Systems Architects and Engineers to evaluate, recommend, and deploy technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and usability for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the execution of the organization's technology roadmap with a strong focus on delivering solutions that improve user satisfaction and optimize service delivery.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure and operations while prioritizing user-centric design and support.
- Monitor and manage technology performance metrics, with a focus on user experience feedback and service quality improvements, providing regular updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Oversee incident response and resolution processes, ensuring prompt, user-friendly communication and minimal disruption to business operations or customer experiences.
- Foster a culture of customer service excellence within the IT operations team, driving continuous improvements to meet the evolving needs of users and clients.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Advanced degrees are a plus but not required.
- 10+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, and security program development.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional user experience (UX) and customer service, with a proven ability to design and deliver IT operations and solutions that prioritize end-user satisfaction and seamless service delivery.
- Proven experience working with MSP and MSSP partners to deliver IT and security solutions.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex technology initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve organizational goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 is a plus.
