Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions that enhance and extend various system components or applications. The role requires engaging in the full development lifecycle, from initial design through coding and testing, ensuring that the solutions are scalable and meet specific business requirements. Collaboration with team members and stakeholders is a key part of the day, as is adapting to evolving project needs using contemporary development methodologies and frameworks to deliver high-quality results.

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Provide L2 functional support for 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA and CATIA V5 in AMS environment
2. Analyze and resolve incidents, service requests and defects related to Part Design, Assembly and Drafting
3. Understand and support PLM processes such as EBOM, configurations and product structures
4. Perform functional analysis and root cause identification for production issues
5. Support testing activities including test case creation, functional validation and regression testing
6. Collaborate with business users, SMEs and technical teams for issue resolution
7. Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and maintain documentation such as SOPs and troubleshooting guides
8. Ensure adherence to SLA timelines and AMS support processes
9. Support release activities and minor enhancements as required

Professional & Technical Skills:

1. Good functional knowledge of 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA and 3DEXPERIENCE platform
2. Understanding of engineering design concepts such as Part, Assembly and Drafting
3. Basic understanding of PLM concepts including BOM, lifecycle and configurations
4. Experience in AMS support including incident and problem management
5. Ability to perform functional troubleshooting and issue analysis
6. Basic knowledge of software testing lifecycle and test case design
7. Familiarity with Agile and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow

Additional Information:
1. 15 year full time education is required.
2. Exposure to Electrical, Piping or Manufacturing domains is an advantage
3. Good communication skills for interaction with business and cross functional teams
4. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
5. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to project specific workflows and customizations
6. Proactive approach towards knowledge building and continuous improvement
