Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $16.20 - $24.28/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

This position is responsible for clearing personally identifiable data from vehicles at auction locations or nearby where vehicles are inspected.  Employee will also be responsible for running vehicle scans for OBDII (On-Board Diagnostics) data and ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) calibration diagnostics.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform OBDII scans utilizing a supplied tool and documenting or storing those codes as directed.

  • Perform scan that determines need for calibration of the vehicle’s ADAS system to ensure they are properly functioning, utilizing the provided tool(s).

  • Responsible for making sure all personally identifiable information is cleared from vehicles prior to sale, utilizing a supplied tool. This may include but is not limited to contact lists, navigation data, etc.

  • Responsible to remove all personal objects, physical PII (mail/IDs, etc.), as defined by Manheim Policy left behind in the vehicle, as well as subsequent documenting, bagging and tagging such items when appropriate.

  • Document completion of these above activities as directed by your supervisor using approved means and systems of record.

  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. 

  • Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.

  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

  • May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Less than 1 year of experience; experience in mobile applications, digital and computer processing a plus.

  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.

  • Basic computer software skills are preferred.

  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.

  • Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks, manual dexterity.

  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and depth perception.

  • Other duties as needed or required.

  • Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes in order to meet business requirements.

To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.
