What you'll do...
Role summary:Join Walmart Global Technology as a Software Engineer III, Information Security, where you will deliver advanced support for enterprise security services by troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving complex issues. This role involves optimizing processes to drive vulnerability remediation, designing and implementing security solutions and leading problem-solving efforts to accelerate risk reduction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain secure systems, ensuring performance, availability, and reliability. The position requires expertise in software engineering, vulnerability management, and cloud security, contributing to continuous improvement and alignment with business needs while upholding the highest standards of integrity and operational excellence.
About the team:The Solution Identification and Management (SIM) team leads global efforts to remediate security vulnerabilities through structured, scalable processes and effective collaboration. Partnering with business and technology groups, the team identifies, prioritizes, and resolves risks while minimizing operational impact. By combining disciplined execution with proactive stakeholder engagement, SIM strengthens the organization’s security posture and accountability. The team plays a vital role in enabling timely risk reduction and advancing enterprise-wide security excellence, supporting continuous operational improvement and safeguarding critical systems across the company.
What you'll do:
- Develop solutions to optimize vulnerability remediation across the organization and improve customer experience.
- Provide advanced support for enterprise security services by troubleshooting, resolving issues, and maintaining code and configurations using version control.
- Analyze systems and business processes to design and implement security solutions aligned with customer requirements.
- Lead and participate in problem resolution meetings, coordinating root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Develop, test, and debug complex programs and scripts following established system development life cycle processes.
- Monitor system performance, alerts, and vulnerabilities, implementing improvements to enhance security and reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technical documentation, presentations, and status updates.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in software engineering with a focus on information security and vulnerability management.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and automation tools to develop and maintain secure systems.
- Experience with cloud security, particularly Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Skilled in vulnerability assessments, and root cause corrective actions.
- Ability to analyze complex systems, design security solutions, and lead problem resolution efforts.
- Familiarity with big data analytics, visualization tools such as PowerBi and project management tools such as JIRA.
- Demonstrated commitment to compliance, ethical standards, and collaborative teamwork.
- Strong communication skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
