Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Electronic Technician - Level 3 OR 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Lab Test organization. This position is located in Melbourne, FL.
In this role you'll serve as a a qualified depot level maintenance support technician for the Airborne Laser Mine Detection System (ALMDS) Pod Subsystems. You will execute both scheduled (preventive) and unscheduled (corrective) maintenance on a fleet of 24 ALMDS Pods in accordance with Government specifications, Technical Manuals, and applicable safety, hazardous materials, and quality standards.

Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at an Electronic Technician - Level 3 OR Electronic Technician - Level 4 level based on the qualifications below.
Electronic Technician - Level 3
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience in mechanical and/or electrical capacity
Must be willing to obtain and maintain the appropriate medical clearance(s), as defined per the customer's contracting requirements for the duration of your employment.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the business.
Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 50lbs and work with hazardous-materials, in accordance with safety regulations.
Able to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or close spaces
Experience using Manufacturing Execution System (MES) (e.g., Entering maintenance data, applying electronic stamps/approvals, etc.).
Electronic Technician - Level 4
High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience in mechanical and/or electrical capacity
Must be willing to obtain and maintain the appropriate medical clearance(s), as defined per the customer's contracting requirements for the duration of your employment.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the business.

Authorized to place the required “MES Stamp” on maintenance records.
Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekend
Depot level electronic, pneumatic, or laser system maintenance experience on aircraft mounted subsystems.
Current, active U.S. Military Specification (MIL SPEC) paint certification (e.g., MIL PRF 23377, NAVAIR 00 55 900)
