Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Electronic Technician - Level 3 OR 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Lab Test organization.  This position is located in Melbourne, FL.

In this role you'll serve as a a qualified depot level maintenance support technician for the Airborne Laser Mine Detection System (ALMDS) Pod Subsystems. You will execute both scheduled (preventive) and unscheduled (corrective) maintenance on a fleet of 24 ALMDS Pods in accordance with Government specifications, Technical Manuals, and applicable safety, hazardous materials, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Perform visual inspections, functional tests, and component replacements on ALMDS Pods.
• Conduct troubleshooting, repair, and verification activities to return pods to an “Operational Ready” (OK) status.
• Maintain all required documentation in the Maintenance Execution System (MES) and ensure compliance with paint, HAZMAT, HAZWASTE, and nitrogen handling certifications.
• Perform splicing, crimping, and shielding repairs on harnesses per MIL STD wire 001; verify continuity and insulation integrity.
• Communicate findings, repair options, and estimated labor/resources to the ALMDS Depot Lead; recommend corrective actions or engineering change requests (ECR).

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at an Electronic Technician - Level 3 OR Electronic Technician - Level 4 level based on the qualifications below.

Electronic Technician - Level 3

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience in mechanical and/or electrical capacity

• Must be willing to obtain and maintain the appropriate medical clearance(s), as defined per the customer's contracting requirements for the duration of your employment.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the business.

• Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 50lbs and work with hazardous-materials, in accordance with safety regulations.

• Able to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or close spaces

• Experience using Manufacturing Execution System (MES) (e.g., Entering maintenance data, applying electronic stamps/approvals, etc.).

Electronic Technician - Level 4

• High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience in mechanical and/or electrical capacity

• Must be willing to obtain and maintain the appropriate medical clearance(s), as defined per the customer's contracting requirements for the duration of your employment.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the business.

• Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 50lbs and work with hazardous-materials, in accordance with safety regulations.

• Able to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or close spaces

• Experience using Manufacturing Execution System (MES) (e.g., Entering maintenance data, applying electronic stamps/approvals, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Authorized to place the required “MES Stamp” on maintenance records.

• Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekend

• Depot level electronic, pneumatic, or laser system maintenance experience on aircraft mounted subsystems.

• Current, active U.S. Military Specification (MIL SPEC) paint certification (e.g., MIL PRF 23377, NAVAIR 00 55 900)

• Active DoD Secret Clearance and Program access(es)

Primary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $68,300.00 - $113,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
