Job Summary

    The Manager, Language Services Operations develops strategies for in-person and translation services to achieve revenue and Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) goals. They also ensure successful client delivery through structure and processes.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Coordinates costs and resources according to monthly/quarterly budgets and financial outcomes, and exercises a cost-containment approach to increase efficiency and impact gross profit.
    • Sets goals for the delivery and production targets according to the operational plan and delivery strategy, therefore developing the team’s accountability to performance and client expectations.
    • Develops staffing strategies, aligns sales approach, implements agreements, and increases satisfaction and referrals by building strong client relationships in collaboration with the Language Services Workforce Management team.
    • Creates, presents, and leads quarterly business reviews.
    • Establishes and communicates a clear workforce solution cadence for the client and Language Services teams, including technology, new tools, and superior candidate and hiring leader experience.
    • Acknowledges accomplishments, identifies expansion opportunities, and adjusts Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or internal resource allocations if necessary.
    • Facilitates team meetings and training to cascade strategic updates, process changes, and skill development opportunities including new technology and tools.
    • Owns the team headcount through ongoing performance evaluations according to proficiency and efficiency standards to improve staff productivity and control expenses.
    • Nurtures effective partnerships with internal Language Services department leadership and other partners throughout the organization.

    Qualifications

      Education & Years of Experience

      • Bachelor's Degree plus 5-7 years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 9-11 years of work experience
      • A recognized board national interpreter certification (CCHI, NBCMI, RID) is required

      Additional Experience

      • Sales experience in the service industry and/or recruiting experience
      • Supervisory experience

      Work Environment / Physical Requirements

      • Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
      • Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

        Pay Rate

        $83,500 - $99,000 Salary

        Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
