  • Act as the primary technical liaison with customers, resolving complex quality-related issues, providing field application support, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in resolving critical product issues, managing corrective actions, and implementing robust solutions that improve overall product quality and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the product design and manufacturing processes, leveraging both statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP) and hands-on engineering expertise.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to design and quality engineers, promoting a culture of quality, data-driven decision-making, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action teams, ensuring timely resolution of critical product issues and alignment with customer expectations.
  • Oversee the development and communication of key quality metrics, delivering regular reports to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Play a pivotal role in product design reviews, ensuring that quality and reliability are prioritized during the early stages of product development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (optics or related field).
  • 10+ years of experience in design engineering, quality engineering, or related fields, with a focus on product development and customer-facing quality initiatives.
  • Expertise in data analysis tools, such as JMP, Minitab, or similar software, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable improvements.
  • Proven experience with quality tools and methodologies, including Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, and 8D problem-solving.
  • Strong track record of working directly with customers to resolve technical issues and provide field application support.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical data to customers and executives.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to quality improvement and continuous enhancement of product designs.

Preferred Skills:
