Our Team and Opportunity 

The past two years have seen significant transformation for Vanguard Australia, launching the Personal Investor (PI) Platform and Superannuation offer for Australian Investors. To deepen and scale our efforts in supporting the business the Personal Investor Performance Enablement function was created. Within this the performance and planning function supports the PI and  Financial Adviser Services (FAS) business performance reporting, leading strategy projects and conducting business strategic analysis, competitive research and product/service evaluation reporting. 

 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Develops and leads complex business strategic, competitive, and product analyses.  

  • Synthesizes analyses, key findings, and potential solutions into actionable recommendations. Works with senior managers in the business to prepare and deliver materials, including presentations, white papers, case studies, etc. 

  • Leads the ongoing reporting and planning activities to support and evaluate business performance. 

  • Interprets and analyses highly complex data using business acumen in order to derive key insights. Verifies the quality, accuracy, and reasonableness of the data. Displays, organizes, and crafts data into a compelling storyline with actionable insights for the business. 

  • Stays abreast of industry, market, and business competitive trends. Supports efforts to keep the senior leadership team informed of key industry, competitive, and product trends. Recommends new and enhanced capabilities and services. 

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. 

 
Qualifications 

  • Minimum of eight years related performance and planning experience. 

  • Strong background in developing and implementing business planning and reporting across business lines. 

  • Experience in financial/operational modelling with strong analytical & business intelligence skills 

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport across a wide ranging audience of key stakeholders  

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey key insights and strategy.  

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
