The Sr. Solution Architect provides technical expertise and guidance in identifying client requirements, evaluating these against the client’s current infrastructure and system capabilities, and ensures the managed services solutions proposed meet the client’s objectives. In addition to being viewed as a trusted technical advisor to the client, the Sr. Solution Architect also has the responsibility for oversight of solution delivery.

What you will do

• Lead technical presales activities, including solution design, migration strategies, client workshops and RFP responses

• Translate between business problems and technology solutions

• Provide subject matter expertise for public cloud (AWS, Google, Azure), VMware cloud solutions, End User Computing (WVD, VMware, Citrix, AWS Workspaces, O365) and cloud migration technology domains

• Work with the client and internal team to identify future needs to align with managed services

• Provide specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered

• Lead architectural strategy, defining requirements, phases, and creating designs during the project definition

• Provide strong technical oversite and subject matter expertise during the definition and delivery phase

• Keep current with trends and technological innovations in the cloud services industry and make appropriate development recommendations

• Develop long-term technology road maps for client solutions

• Formulate criteria and execute proof-of-concept projects for new approaches and platforms

• Conduct technical review of existing client solutions to determine future mapping to managed solutions

• Influence technology direction with solid analysis

Required keys for success

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong technology background that includes consulting and pre-sales experience

• Five or more years of experience as a solution architect or consultant

• Experience in architecting or engineering with public and private cloud

• Experience in managing customer on premise infrastructure and applications

• Proficiency with cloud migration techniques; re-host, re-platform, refactor

• Practical hands-on deployment experience with across the technology stack

• Ability to map technical solutions to business challenges and objectives

• Express a passion for technology and keeping informed of market trends

• Ability to research and obtain new product and technical knowledge

• Have the expertise and ability to interact with any level of an organization

• Strong client service orientation and expert client engagement skills

• Ability define and recommend solutions based on data analysis

• Ability to develop business cases and demonstrate ROI for proposed initiatives

• Expertise in high availability design best practices for mission-critical applications

• Experience with cloud migration tools and methodologies

• Advanced knowledge of cloud computing, migration, disaster recovery, virtualization and managed services

• Ability to independently plan, prioritize and organize effectively

• Aptitude to manage multiple projects and tasks

• Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure

Your education

• Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience

• AWS Certified Solution Architect (AWS CSA Associate)

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect Expert

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
