Job Summary:

Evaluates commercial loan requests by reviewing applicants' credit histories and analyzing financial statements in order to approve or deny loan applications.

What You Will Do:

  • Evaluating Creditworthiness: Analyzes financial statements, credit reports, and other documents to assess the creditworthiness of loan applicants.
  • Assessing Risk: Identifies potential risks associated with lending, such as default risk, market risk, and credit risk.
  • Calculating Financial Ratios: Calculates financial ratios, such as debt-to-income and debt-to-equity, to evaluate an applicant's creditworthiness.
  • Presenting Recommendations: Presents recommendations to management or a credit committee on whether to approve or reject a loan application.

What Skills You Will Have:

Financial Statement Analysis:

  • Works with balance sheets and income statements to evaluate credit worthiness.
  • Explains the relationship of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows in the analysis process.
  • Examines financial statement for validity and general correctness; highlights problems or issues.

Analytical Thinking:

  • Approaches a situation or problem by defining the problem or issue and determining its significance.
  • Makes a systematic comparison of two or more alternative solutions.

Effective Communications:

  • Delivers helpful feedback that focuses on behaviors without offending the recipient.
  • Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness.
  • Makes oral presentations and writes reports needed for own work.

Credit Analysis and Verification:

  • Lists basic tools and techniques used to perform credit analysis.
  • Describes the role and importance of credit analysis and verification.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related area
  • Fluent English
