What to expect on this role

We are currently in the process of establishing a specialized data department for which knowledge in Oracle and PostgreSQL is essential.

We are looking for Data Engineers for two projects available, and you could get involved in one of them depending on your experience.

Project 1:

• Leading the migration of Oracle DB to PostgreSQL

• Migrate Geode to Geo-Redundant Postgres Database

• Migrate Oracle database tables & data to Postgres

• Implement Miami database for geo-redundancy

• Active/Active reads, Longmont writes (sync to Miami)

• Move Geode database URL behind load-balancer

Project 2:

• Consolidate Ptolemy into SCC

• Implement Ptolemy APIs on SCC

• Migrate Ptolemy Database structures and tables into Postgres within SCC

• Migrate Ptolemy clients (VSuite, ERL, EQTS, TSS) to SCC-based APIs

• Data integrity Unit switches to SCC GUI

Qualifications and Tech Proficiency

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven track record of +5 years as a Database Administrator

• Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL

• Experience with Geo Redundancy
