As the Gate Keeper / Investment Resource Team (IRT) Sales Operations Manager in the Strategic Relationship Group (SRG) within North America Client Group (NACG), you will be a strategic business partner to sales and channel leadership, orchestrating and influencing the development and execution of objectives, strategies and the annual business plan. You will successfully link sales opportunities, priorities and challenges to broader NACG outcomes. You will contribute meaningfully to developing and integrating best practices across Sales Operations, and to the goals of the Strategic Relationship Group.  

You have experience managing long term projects and are adept at driving prioritization and engagement. You have a keen knack for aligning different perspectives with a combination of diplomacy and influence. Your strengths include strong communication skills, demonstrating initiative and ownership, and managing ambiguity while navigating evolving circumstances. You have experience managing teams and are a talent developer; you are passionate about challenging them with new experiences which results in them growing professionally and maximizing their contributions to the team.

  • You are known as a resourceful, strategic planner with the ability to pivot.
  • You have knowledge of investment products and solutions and are familiar with Broker Dealers, Wire Houses, RIA industries, TAMPs and the broader financial services industry sales cycle and sales interactions.
  • You are capable developing and leading a team (direct or indirect). You are passionate about team engagement, coaching and people development.
  • You possess strong facilitation and relationship building skills with the ability to work comfortably and confidently alongside senior leadership.
  • You are comfortable in situations where there isn’t a playbook with a clear-cut answer. You are not easily surprised, and you handle constantly changing circumstances with composure and confidence.
  • You can drive and participate in the business planning process, ensuring projects and initiatives align with and achieve business goals, while taking the lead on agenda setting, meeting coordination, and follow-ups across the operation.
  • You collaborate with key partners across Sales Leadership, Marketing, Product, Insights and Analytics, and other key business stakeholders to synthesize information and enable effective decision-making, productivity, and engagement.
  • You coordinate segment-level client events, sales training events
  • You improve sales data reporting for the client team, including territory management/segmentation, pipeline management, and reporting.
  • You create and maintain industry-level sales reporting and data
  • You develop and manage the execution of sales initiatives and create sales force messaging that aligns with compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • You represent the voice of the field internally and the insurance segment perspective in broader NACG initiatives and forums
  • You bring a continuous improvement mindset to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • You possess a strong foundation in financial principles and an understanding of investment strategies at Capital Group, including our insurance offerings.
  • You have experience setting and achieving goals, managing multiple projects at once, balancing the needs of diverse stakeholders, and overcoming objections
  • Ideally, you will have knowledge of sales tools and resources, including Salesforce.com, Seismic, etc.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $136,858-$218,973

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
